Project Overview

90 kW Deye Hybrid • 74.4 kWp Solar PV • 122.9 kWh Dyness Lithium Storage

This large-scale hybrid solar and battery system was designed and commissioned by Illamab Energy Solutions to improve daytime solar utilisation, provide stored-energy support and reduce dependence on conventional power sources.

  • Location: Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria
  • Inverters: 3 × 30 kW Deye three-phase hybrid inverters
  • PV Array: 120 × 620 W modules — 74.4 kWp total installed capacity
  • Battery Storage: 24 × Dyness S51100 5.12 kWh lithium batteries — approximately 122.9 kWh nominal storage
  • Battery Architecture: Three high-voltage battery banks with dedicated battery distribution/control units
  • Scope: System design, PV installation, battery integration, AC/DC protection, cabling, dedicated earthing, configuration, testing and commissioning

Design Objective

The system was engineered to support a substantial office load while coordinating three hybrid inverter units as one three-phase installation. Particular attention was given to battery integration, inverter coordination, protection and site earthing.

Outcome: A scalable 90 kW hybrid energy platform combining 74.4 kWp of solar generation with approximately 122.9 kWh of lithium storage, giving the facility a significantly stronger renewable-energy and backup capability.
