1. About Illamab
Illamab Global Services Limited provides solar energy, inverter, battery, electrical, smart-home, installation, maintenance and related technical services in Nigeria.
2. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep information on this website accurate and current. However, product specifications, availability, package composition, images and prices may change. Website content is general information and does not replace a site-specific technical assessment or written quotation.
3. Package Prices and Quotations
Prices displayed as “starting from”, package prices or indicative prices are based on stated or assumed installation conditions. Your final price may change depending on load requirements, equipment selected, roof type, mounting method, cable distances, distribution-board modifications, transport, civil works, earthing, access, site location and other conditions identified during assessment.
A binding project price is the price stated in the accepted written quotation or agreement, including approved variations. Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for the period shown on the quotation and may be revised after expiry because of supplier pricing, exchange-rate movements, logistics or equipment availability.
4. Site Assessment and System Sizing
Solar and battery systems are sized using information available at the time of assessment, including appliance ratings, operating hours, simultaneous load, backup expectations, solar availability and site conditions. The customer is responsible for giving accurate information about intended loads and future additions that may materially affect system performance.
5. Orders and Acceptance
A project is treated as confirmed when we receive the required acceptance, payment or other confirmation stated in the quotation. We may decline an order where the requested design is unsafe, technically unsuitable, outside our service capability, based on incomplete information or dependent on unavailable equipment.
6. Payments
Payment structure, milestones and due dates will be stated in the quotation or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, procurement and mobilisation may depend on receipt of the required advance payment. Delays in customer payments may affect procurement and installation schedules.
7. Equipment Availability and Substitutions
Specific inverter, battery, solar-module or balance-of-system models may be subject to supplier availability. We will not knowingly substitute a materially different item without informing the customer. Where an agreed product becomes unavailable, we may propose an equivalent or better alternative for customer approval and adjust pricing where necessary.
8. Installation Schedule
Any installation or completion date is a good-faith estimate unless expressly stated as a guaranteed date in writing. Timing may be affected by equipment delivery, site readiness, weather, access, customer changes, security restrictions, utility conditions, force majeure or other events outside our reasonable control. Where a material delay occurs, we will aim to keep the customer informed.
9. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Providing safe and reasonable access to the installation site.
- Providing accurate information about the property, loads and existing electrical system.
- Obtaining landlord, estate, building or other permissions where required.
- Ensuring that areas needed for installation are reasonably clear and accessible.
- Not modifying, relocating, opening or interfering with installed equipment in a manner that creates a safety risk or affects warranty coverage.
- Using the system within the load and operating limits explained at handover.
10. Variations and Additional Work
Work outside the original agreed scope may require a written variation and additional cost. Examples include additional cable runs, civil works, distribution upgrades, structural modifications, extra panels or batteries, relocation of equipment, unexpected electrical defects, additional earthing work or customer-requested changes after mobilisation.
11. Cancellations and Refunds
Customers may request cancellation of an advance booking or order. Any refund will be handled in accordance with applicable Nigerian consumer law and the circumstances of the project. Reasonable deductions may apply for work already performed, site visits, design work, logistics, non-refundable supplier charges, specially ordered equipment, custom fabrication or other costs reasonably incurred before cancellation.
Where goods are defective, incorrectly supplied or otherwise subject to statutory return or remedy rights, nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or reduce those rights.
12. Delivery, Ownership and Risk
Where equipment is delivered before installation, the customer should take reasonable steps to protect it from theft, damage, water, fire and unauthorised access. Ownership and payment obligations will be determined by the applicable quotation, invoice or agreement and by applicable law.
13. Warranties
Equipment warranties are generally provided under the applicable manufacturer’s warranty terms and may differ by product and brand. Warranty claims may require serial numbers, installation records, photographs, diagnostic information or inspection.
Unless a quotation states otherwise, Illamab’s standard workmanship warranty for a completed standard installation is six months from commissioning. This covers defects arising from our installation workmanship and does not ordinarily cover equipment failure, misuse, overload, accidental damage, unauthorised modification, external electrical faults, lightning or surge events outside installed protection limits, environmental damage, theft, pests, fire or failure to follow operating instructions.
Nothing in this section excludes any warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Solar Generation and Backup Performance
Any estimate of solar generation, fuel savings, battery backup time or energy independence is based on assumptions available at the time of design. Actual performance may vary because of weather, shading, dust, panel orientation, grid conditions, generator operation, appliance behaviour, ambient temperature, battery age, system settings, maintenance and changes in customer load.
Battery backup time is therefore an estimate, not a guarantee of a fixed number of hours under every operating condition.
15. Monitoring and Internet-Connected Equipment
Some inverters, batteries, smart-home systems and monitoring platforms depend on internet connectivity, manufacturer servers, mobile applications or third-party cloud services. Availability of those external services is not fully within Illamab’s control.
16. Maintenance and After-Sales Support
Routine cleaning, inspection and maintenance may be required to keep a system operating effectively. Unless specifically included in the quotation, ongoing maintenance after the applicable workmanship period is a separate service. Customers should report faults promptly and avoid unsafe self-repair.
17. Intellectual Property and Website Use
Unless otherwise stated, website text, graphics, branding, layouts, project descriptions and original media owned by Illamab may not be copied, republished or used commercially without permission. You may use the website only for lawful purposes and must not interfere with its security, availability or operation.
18. Third-Party Products and Links
We may install, recommend or link to products and services provided by third parties. Manufacturer specifications, applications, warranty portals, payment platforms and external websites are governed by their respective providers. Illamab is not responsible for independent changes made by a third-party platform outside our control.
19. Liability and Statutory Rights
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, customer misuse, unauthorised alterations, inaccurate customer information or failure of unrelated third-party infrastructure.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability or consumer rights where such exclusion is prohibited by Nigerian law, including rights relating to fair dealing, accurate information, quality and safety of goods and services, implied warranties or remedies for defective performance.
20. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If you are dissatisfied with a product or service, please contact us first so we can investigate and try to resolve the matter promptly. Customers retain the right to pursue remedies available under applicable Nigerian law, including appropriate regulatory or court processes.
21. Force Majeure
Neither party will be treated as responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, flood, fire, civil disturbance, security incidents, government restrictions, import delays, transport disruption, widespread utility failure, supplier disruption or similar events. This does not remove obligations that have already accrued or rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
22. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute will be handled in accordance with applicable Nigerian law and the jurisdiction of competent Nigerian courts, without limiting any statutory consumer complaint or redress mechanism available to a customer.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when our services, business practices or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its effective date. Project-specific terms already agreed with a customer will not be changed retrospectively unless both parties agree or the law requires otherwise.
